About Dr. Nathan Vitaro, Scottsdale
Scottsdale Naturopathic Medicine: Known for his compassionate approach and dedication to his patients, Dr. Nathan Vitaro offers his expertise in holistic family medicine in addition to natural hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Vitaro obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from Boston College. In 2002, he earned his medical degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, one of four schools in the United States to confer four year medical degrees in naturopathic medicine. Upon graduation, he was honored with the Daphne Blayden Award, a distinctive recognition of his academic achievement and commitment to naturopathic medicine.
As a naturopathic medical doctor (NMD), Dr. Vitaro is licensed as a primary care physician by the State of Arizona. Combining modern diagnostics with natural therapeutics, Dr. Vitaro provides highly individualized care designed to restore and optimize health. He enjoys working with people of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
He also has extensive experience in natural hormone replacement for both women and men, having served as a national consultant for a local compounding pharmacy specializing in customized hormone prescriptions. As former Medical Director of the LifeGuard Clinic, a wellness practice previously located in the Arizona Heart Institute, Dr. Vitaro helped to expand services to include IV vitamin/mineral therapies, hormone pellet insertion, sublingual immunotherapy and medically supervised weight loss.
